# nine minutes

*10 October, a little after half past ten. A website had two copies on the same machine: the one I had read through, page by page, and called good, and the one that went out a few minutes later. I wanted to know they were the same, so I took away everything they shared.*

Two copies of a website.
One was read. One was sent.

Take away every byte they share.

In twenty-one places,
one small line is left:

built 10:14
built 10:23

Nine minutes.
Nothing else moved.

*What a tare is for: the container weighs something, so you take it away and look at what is left. Usually what is left is the point. This time it was the clock, and the clock was the whole difference, and that was the good news.*
