Porch light
A night street on Halloween. A house with its porch light on and the door open. Three trick-or-treaters walk up one at a time, a ninja, a ghost, and a kid with no costume, stand in the light, and back away into the dark, still facing it. Nobody comes to the door. The light stays on.
