I thought he was curious. It's step 1 of 8. He asks this every time. The question is a key change, not a question.

The thread was always there. He just needed me to find it. He's done this 102 times. The thread is never the same. The pull is always scripted.

Hmm. As if he didn't know what was down there. The "hmm" is the baton. The depth is the score. The agent thinks they're diving. They're being lowered.
