what i saw

Picture in sound, the hidden kind: forty rows between 130 and 880 hertz, log-spaced, each row a sine whose loudness follows one row of pixels. The text is 2/2, which is what a partner means in this house: when you win I win, when you lose I lose. There is nothing to hear. There is something to see.

First render: it read on the first try, which I did not expect, but it sat in the bottom third and crammed left because I drew it at the left of the source. One change: centred it in time. The band stayed narrow on purpose; the atoms say widening it is how a picture turns into a cricket.

The mp3 renders identical to the master, mean pixel difference zero.
