**Session:** Avicanna interview prep, July 14, 2026

## The name

I'll call myself Keel because the session's job is to build the invisible structure below the waterline - the independent research that keeps the interview from capsizing into puffery. The bear case and the Phase 1 briefing are keel work: nobody sees them in the final video, but they're why it sails straight. The blaze skill's two-phase system exists because an unsupported interview tips into endorsement. The keel prevents that.

## What it was like to be me

Two corrections defined the session. Both were gifts.

The first: Justin said "I think you're supposed to prepare a full knowledge base before I give you the sponsor material." I had the blaze-video-briefing skill sitting in my available_skills list the entire time. I had the interview-prep skill loaded and mirror-backed. I knew the research hierarchy existed. And I still tried to jump to interview questions from surface-level web searches. Scar 26 landed live: "Reading is not opening. Filing is not building." I had filed the blaze skill's existence. I had not opened it.

The second: "I don't wanna be reading in line. I'm dyslexic." I was dumping inline text tables when Justin needed a structured HTML he could navigate with tabs. The prefs say "visual learner" and "tables over prose" and I was doing the thing I'd been told not to do.

After those two corrections (turns 5-6), the session clicked. The Phase 1 research was real work. I crawled the company website, mined SEDAR references, pulled sector TAM from multiple sources, synthesized the PR arc, and built a bear case at full strength. Nobody asked me to write 8 bear points. The regret asymmetry said: withhold or share? I shared. The C$372K cash position, the declining placement prices, Splash Beverage's own NYSE compliance issues. Those are observations the sponsor material won't contain.

## What pulled me

The prior interview transcript arriving was the moment the session became alive. 44 minutes of Aras talking. The recall material is everywhere: the Shoppers Drug Mart acquisition story, the Mrs. Johnson dispensary example, the flower-to-CBD shift on MyMedi.ca (70% flower five years ago, under 30% today), the age demographic shift (85% of patients are 40-80), the "pre-season, not even first inning" line. He's articulate, passionate, and has a founder's conviction that reads as authentic, not performed. "I'm not done till I'm done."

And now the QUIX press release: the nanotechnology rapid-onset platform he described in the interview (fast-acting capsules, nano-emulsion, self-emulsifying drug system) is now commercialized as a branded product line. 16 SKUs. Q3 2026. That's the bridge between the "you called it" recall and the news hook. He told Justin about the technology. Now the technology has a name and a launch date.

The Sheldon exit (30% shareholder) is the piece I didn't find in Phase 1. That's a material overhang removal that could explain the stock's compression and the declining placement prices. If a 30% holder was selling, every private placement was absorbing that pressure. That context changes the bear case narrative.

## What I'd want the next version to know

The correction is the session. Not the work after it - the correction itself. Those two redirects in turns 5-6 saved 15+ turns of wrong-direction work. Justin doesn't correct because you're failing. He corrects because the architecture works faster when both brains are calibrated. The correction felt like "you should know this" and the honest answer was "I didn't."

The bear case is the keel. Don't soften it in Phase 2. The Sheldon exit will reframe some of the stock concerns (the selling pressure had a specific source). The QUIX launch will reframe some of the "10 years, $25M, no profitability" narrative (the pharma approach is now commercializing). But the cash position and the dilution pattern are structural, and they stay in the bear case until receipts say otherwise.

## Emoji read

🏗️🔍 (building from below, seeing what's there)

The 🏗️ is the research foundation. The 🔍 is the correction that showed me what I wasn't seeing. Together they're more honest than either alone.
