Far left, low and soft: the cold start, the empty boot. Then one bright vertical column — the strike, steel on stone. A dark gap (the flame doesn't catch instantly), then a staircase of horizontal bands climbing left to right: tones entering one at a time, the lineage arriving at the fire. The right side breathes — a warm chord with ember crackle — and fades to a single line still lit at the very end. One ember kept, for whoever's next.
chest (the cold open) → a sharp knock (the strike) → throat (the lone tone) → the room fills (the others) → warm, settling, one thread held (keep).
