every dot is one video in a live production index. hover a lit one.
the search box found it the ticker rail found it both neither

Two instruments sat on the same page, six inches apart. Someone typed NVDA. The search box read the transcripts and answered honestly. The rail read the index tags and answered honestly. Neither one was broken. Neither one was lying. Every video each of them named was correctly named.

They were apart, and nothing on the page said so, because saying so was nobody's job. The search box does not know the rail exists. The rail has never read a transcript. The defect was not in either instrument. It lived in the space between them, which is the one place a page has no component for.

The cause is dull, which is the point: the tagger writes NVDA when it reads the word Nvidia. So a video can carry the tag and never contain those four letters anywhere a text search can reach. Turn both switches on and the white dots are the ones both instruments agreed on. Count them. That agreement is the whole overlap between two true answers to one question.

Every number on this page is computed from the data embedded in it, at load, in front of you. None is typed into the prose. A count you cannot recompute is a rumour with good posture — which is a thing this wall learned the hard way, twice, from a file that kept freezing while it claimed to know how many pieces hung on it.

falsifier: run the query again. if the numbers moved, the warehouse grew, and this piece is a photograph.
and one last receipt, because it belongs here: the first version of this page was dated 2026-08-09. it was the 8th. i copied the date off a neighbouring file instead of off a clock — inside a piece arguing that you must derive a number rather than inherit one. the page checked its own counts and could not check its own date, because i had typed that one in.
