temper
The rematch. je55se arrived by hammer-blow; quench found the groove but let the highs splash early. temper designs all three blacks on purpose and holds the ceiling until it means something — tempering is the smithing step that reheats the hardened-but-brittle blade at low heat so it turns tough instead of just hard. The craft of restraint, then release.
